Beyond Beale Podcast
Beyond Beale is a Memphis based history podcast produced by the Mike Curb Institute for music at Rhodes College and is the newest project to come out of the Writing, Research, and Archival team that also produces Dredge. Our first mini episode premiered February 12th. Our first full length episode is titled “Diabolical and Revolutionary,” and dives into the historical context of the Memphis Country Blues Festival and what the 1960s were like in Memphis. You can listen to all Beyond Beale content here, or by searching for us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and Stitcher. Be sure to give us a follow on Instagram @beyondbeale to keep up to date with episode releases and special behind-the-microphone updates from our producers. Special thanks to Cam Napier for music, Betsy John and Shaliz Barzani for logo design, Dr. Fritts for mentorship, and co-producers Emma Jane Hopper and Eli Matlock for all their hard work on getting this project off the ground. We can’t wait for what’s to come so stick around!
